JW Marriott Hotel And Hamarain Shopping Mall, Dubai - U.A.E.

Mr. Namir Shaffu, Director and owner of Hamilton Project Management, was the Project Manager on this $US68 million, 5-star hotel and shopping mall project. The project comprises the luxury, 5-star JW Marriott hotel, a major shopping mall and an office complex.

The total built-up area of the completed project is 1,072,000sq.ft (332,000 sq.ft encompassed by the hotel, the remainder 750,000sq.ft covered by the shopping mall). The mall comprises a central atrium rising up six floors.

The uppermost five floors are occupied by offices, whilst the Basement, Ground and Mezzanine levels accommodate shops and restaurants. The lower basement level provides car parking facilities. The complex is designed to allow for ease of circulation in the shopping mall, and maximum use of natural light by positioning the shops and offices on two sides of an open atrium topped by two long barrel vaults and a large dome skylight.

The upper levels are linked by means of bridges, while escalators and elevators cater to the horizontal and vertical transportation. The design and warm ambience have led the complex to be voted the best shopping mall during the annual Dubai Shopping Festival. The JW Marriott hotel, which forms part of the overall project, was rated as one of the top 5-star hotels in Dubai and amongst the top 7 Marriott hotels that earned the “JW” brand worldwide.

The hotel comprises two Basements, Ground Floor, Mezzanine and 5 floors aboove. It incorporates 230 luxurious guest rooms and suites, 5 restaurants, ballrooms and pre-function areas, a fully equipped health club, 2 squash courts, a swimming pool and an Executive Lounge and guest area. The Hotel also has two Royal Suites of 3,600sq.ft area each with their own private elevators.
